WAYFINDING & DIRECTIONAL
Event wayfinding signs that hold up from morning through midnight
Illuminated directional signs for concourses and fan zones, hand-held paddles for crews and follow-me routes, and wall-mount Grabit signs for the positions that never move. Order the units once, reprint the graphics for the next event. Printed and delivered in one week or less.
The part of the program every attendee touches
Wayfinding is the part of the program every attendee touches and nobody is supposed to notice. Concourse to seat, shuttle to gate, session room to session room, the fan-zone perimeter, the accreditation line. Each one is a sign that has to work from a distance, in motion, and after sundown.
When it fails, everyone sees it at once. The wrong sign on the wrong concourse, a directional nobody can read at 9 pm, a session-room change that never reached the floor. Ops feels it as a line at the information desk and a session that starts late.
One page, five jobs:
- Stadium concourse direction (seating, restrooms, exits, high crowd density)
- Conference and session-room direction (hall signs, last-minute room changes)
- Fan-zone routing and open-footprint programming (multiple entry points, sponsor activations, F&B)
- Follow-me and hospitality guide signs (staff-carried, moving with the group)
- Queue and capacity management (gates, accreditation, hospitality check-in)

The five wayfinding jobs
Stadium concourse direction
The biggest job on the page and the least forgiving. A concourse stays open from the first gate rush to the last exit, and the same sign has to read in full sun in the afternoon and under the lights at 11 pm, above heads, in a crowd that swallows anything unlit.
- LED Lollipop Signs, Famous 14″ or Quick-Snap 14″. 4,500 lumens — visible at 50 feet in direct sunlight.
- Zero fall-off backlit illumination. Uniform luminance across the full panel.
- Ships with your choice of 60″ hand-held monopole or 58″ free-standing tripod, chosen at checkout.
Conference and session-room direction
Conference wayfinding runs against the venue's own permanent signs and the last-minute-change problem: a breakout moves at 2 pm and the hall signs have to catch up before the 2:15 session.
- Frame stays, graphics swap. Swap graphics in about a minute on Quick-Snap, about 5 minutes on Famous 14″ with a flat-head screwdriver.
- Progressive disclosure: hall-junction directionals, session-room ID, session-time indicator.
- Grabit Signs, Standard or Large shapes, for wall-mount and pillar-mount directionals. Twists on and off by hand — no tools.
Fan-zone routing and open-footprint programming
Open footprint, several entry points, activation zones, F&B, a stage. Wayfinding here has to hold the perimeter and route people between activations for the whole event window, outdoors.
- LED Lollipop Signs, Famous 14″ or Quick-Snap 14″. Battery-powered — no cords, no outlets, no setup.
- 3.5-hour standard battery, 6.5-hour upgrade. Hot-swappable between shifts.
- Under 3 lb in hand with the monopole, so a crew member can hold position through a shift.
Follow-me and hospitality guide signs
The signs that move with the staff. A group leader walking a delegation from arrivals to the hospitality lounge, a hospitality crew routing VIPs from parking to premium seats, an agency runner keeping a sponsor cohort together on a busy concourse. One platform, two modes: planted on the tripod, carried on the monopole.
- Hand-held paddles. Free print set-up, minimum order qty: 3.
- Custom full color printing on both sides. Print-ready PDF preferred, fonts outlined. Working files (.ai, .eps) — zip them first. Max 250 MB.
- 60″ hand-held monopole for over-crowd visibility, balanced for an hours-long carry.
Queue and capacity management
Queue markers at gates, accreditation, hospitality check-in, merchandise. Anywhere a line has to form, hold and move.
- Fixed position: an LED sign on the 58″ free-standing tripod for gate and check-in identification.
- Staff-carried: hand-held paddles for line marshalling and capacity calls.
- Sign Graphics reorder per graphic. Reprint per event with no new frame cost.
Two jobs, one platform
Leading a group through the venue
A national supporters group led through an Olympic venue on the hand-held monopole.
Follow-me on a paddle
A hand-held paddle guiding a student orientation group, the staff-carried version of the same job.
